Chambon Memorial honors hidden children of World War II

During the Nazi Occupation, Le Chambon-sur-Lignon in south-central France became a refuge for thousands of Jews. The entire village was recognized as ‘Righteous Among the Nations’ in 1990. The Chambon Memorial received a $10,000 grant from its American Friends of the Chambon Memorial, to support an exhibition about the stories of the children who were sheltered in the village.
