Through its donor-advised fund, the American Express Foundation made a $17k grant to the Zoological Society of London, an international scientific, conservation and educational charity. Founded in 1826, it rapidly became the world’s leading learned society in zoology, counting Charles Darwin among its early fellows. The grant will support its efforts to promote the conservation of animals and their habitats.
