Founder of Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital dies

Drs Catherine and Reg Hamlin arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 1959. Soon after, Catherine co-founded Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia, a health network dedicated to the treatment and prevention of obstetric fistula – a horrific childbirth injury. More than 60,000 women have been treated so far. Catherine passed away on March 18. You can support her legacy through the Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation Friends Fund.
