The Galicia Jewish Museum in Krakow was established to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust and celebrate the richness of Jewish culture in Polish Galicia. Its Galitzianers – Friends of the Galicia Jewish Museum disbursed $173,014 for an exhibition on Jan Marcin Szancer, born in 1902, who became famous for his illustrations of key works of 20th century Polish literature.
