Corporate Philanthropy & CSR in Europe

Corporate Philanthropy & Corporate Social Responsibility in Europe

Every other year, KBFUS invites executives from American corporate foundations to a four-day, total immersion site visit to Brussels, Belgium. The program provides a window into the changing role of philanthropy in Europe and enables participants to see first-hand how successful corporate giving programs can be developed in a European context.

The site visit takes advantage of our parent foundation’s location in the capital of the European Union and includes discussions with the European Commission, the European Policy Centre, CSR Europe, the European Foundation Centre, and the European Venture Philanthropy Association. Registration is free of charge, though participants pay for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

“I can’t speak highly enough about the KBFUS site visit. We learned about the European view on corporate citizenship from the experts and those who are living it every day. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.”

Eileen Sweeney, Director of Giving and Philanthropic Relations, Motorola

“The program is first class. A great experience for U.S. corporate grantmakers. I immediately put the learnings to work.”

Shane O’Connor, Senior Communications Advisor, FedEx

“This training is invaluable. I learned an enormous amount about European philanthropy and exchanged ideas with some of the key leaders in the European corporate giving community.”
