Pursuing an AIDS-free South Africa with Desmond Tutu

February 19, 2019

While good progress has been made in the global fight against AIDS, there is still much work to be done. About 270,000 people in South Africa were newly infected with HIV in 2017. In this context, the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation works to lessen the epidemic’s impact on individuals, families and communities, combining community-driven development with internationally acclaimed research. U.S. donors can contribute to their efforts through the American Friends of the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation.
