Fonds pour les Femmes Congolaises, founded by Julienne Lusenge (pictured), provides financial and technical support to grassroots NGOs that promote women’s rights in the DR of Congo. An $18,000 grant from its American friends fund will go to an economic empowerment project for women victims of sexual violence in the city of Beni, North Kivu. U.S. donors can support its work through the Friends of the Congolese Women’s Fund.
