The South African Mobility for the Blind Trust (SAMBT) provides orientation and mobility training for blind people to navigate their own homes and communities independently. Since 1998, SAMBT has trained over 3,000 individuals. The Friends of South African Mobility for the Blind Trust made an $11,860 grant to support independence training programs for people with blindness in rural and township areas in the country.
