Introducing Myriad, the alliance for borderless giving

Myriad: Alliance for Borderless Giving
September 9, 2021

The King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS) is delighted to announce the launch of Myriad, the alliance for borderless giving – a partnership between the King Baudouin Foundation, Give2Asia and their global affiliates. The alliance removes the significant logistical and compliance barriers donors face when supporting nonprofit initiatives overseas. With Myriad, donors on four continents can support charities in over 100 countries around the globe, with the same services and fees – and with local tax benefits.

In addition to the USA, Myriad partners currently work with donors based in Europe, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong SAR PRC. Stay tuned as we expand the alliance’s footprint to enable giving from additional locations.

Here is what Myriad means for U.S. donors and for foreign nonprofits:

Individual donors can structure their giving to favorite nonprofits overseas through a Donor Advised Fund at KBFUS. With Myriad, we can now facilitate grants to charities not only in Europe and Africa, but in the Asia-Pacific region and Canada as well. Individual donors can also create a charitable legacy for the communities they cherish, and with KBFUS ART, we can help them navigate the complexities involved in donating art to foreign museums. Similarly, corporations and corporate foundations can work through a Donor Advised Fund to manage their grantmaking in foreign markets. To identify premier nonprofit partners and build rewarding relationships across the globe, they can leverage Myriad’s trusted network of local experts through our Corporate Plus service. And with a Disaster Response Fund, we provide them with a tool to engage employees in multiple countries, to mobilize giving for local communities in need. Foreign nonprofit organizations can reach global audiences and expand their base of support with Myriad. Not only can they receive tax-deductible gifts from supporters in the United States through an American Friends Fund at KBFUS, as they have done in the past. They can now open Friends Funds in other geographies as well, such as Europe, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong SAR PRC. See all our services and programs for foreign nonprofits.
