In Uganda, an estimated 4.5 million people live with some form of disability. Kyaninga Child Development Centre provides specialized, high quality and affordable treatment to children with disabilities, enabling them to lead more independent lives. Its Friends of Kyaninga CDC Fund disbursed $25,000 to produce wheelchairs, mobility equipment and prosthetic implants, and to create employment for people with disabilities in Uganda.
