Building & Engaging Your Board for Fundraising Success

November 8, 2021 | 10:00 am EST

Nonprofits with a strong track record of success in fundraising have one thing in common: Engaged Boards of Directors. But knowing how to build a strong committed Board and then working in partnership with them to maximize their positive fundraising outcome can be a challenge.  Join Karen Brooks Hopkins and Simona Biancu for a detailed discussion regarding how to build a committed Board and how to create the tools, strategies, and systems to activate these leaders in support of your mission.

Karen Brooks Hopkins is the President Emerita of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Senior Advisor of the Onassis Foundation and author of a new book entitled, “BAM… And Then It Hit Me,” a memoir of her 36 years at the BAM. Simona Biancu is the Vice-President and delegate to internationalization of the Italian Association of Fundraisers (ASSIF) and board member of both the European Fundraising Association (EFA) and European Lung Foundation, as well as an international consultant and trainer.

This conversation is hosted by the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS), the leading resource in the U.S. to facilitate philanthropic giving to Europe and Africa, and the Association of Italian Fundraisers (ASSIF).
