KBFUS spotlights some of its most creative partners from the African and Latin American continents, in an effort to connect them with investors and philanthropists. We invite these changemakers to join us for convenings and events hosted by key partner organizations.
Every other year, KBFUS also organizes a U.S. roadshow for the winner of the Africa Prize, an initiative of our Brussels-based parent foundation. Worth 200,000 Euros, the Africa Prize rewards outstanding contributions to development in Africa, initiated and led by Africans. Recent winners include Elman Peace (Somalia), Wecyclers (Nigeria), BarefootLaw (Uganda), Farmerline (Ghana), Kytabu (Kenya), ADISCO (Burundi), Ms Bogaletch Gebre of KMG Ethiopia (Ethiopia), and Dr Denis Mukwege of Panzi Hospital (DR of Congo).
